His practice encompasses the full spectrum of criminal defense work, from the stages of investigation through trial and appellate proceedings, with particular expertise in matters involving the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), Economic Offences Wing, Director General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), and other specialized investigative agencies.
His work includes advising clients during search and seizure proceedings, coordinating responses to investigative summons, securing anticipatory bail and regular bail. His practice includes advising platforms on regulatory compliance, matters involving Sections 69, 69A, and 79 of the IT Act, including challenges to blocking orders and the scope of safe harbour protections available to intermediaries. On the contentious side, he has represented social media intermediaries before various Courts defending claims of platform liability for third-party content.
Shikher regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court (and has appeared before various High Courts across the country), as well as various district courts, Special Courts, and tribunals.
He has advised and represented several leading corporates, including ANI Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Ola Cabs), Twitter Communications India Pvt. Ltd., Fashnear Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Meesho), MakeMyTrip, SBI Ventures, Akums Pharmaceutical, and Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL), among others.
