Our Managing Partner, Mr Harry Chawla has been inducted as a ‘Member’ to the Advisory Board at the Centre for Law and Urban Development (CLUD) at National Law University, Delhi. The Advisory Board is envisioned as a distinguished body of experts, including academicians and professionals with significant practical experience in urban law and policy and will guide the Centre’s research, initiatives, and collaborations while identifying new areas of impact.
The Centre for Law & Urban Development, established in 2022, aims to bring together students, industry professionals, and academia to enhance the understanding and teaching of property, housing, urban development, and related laws. The Centre has undertaken various projects and initiatives, including research, policy engagement, and public awareness programs.
Some of CLUD’s key projects include:
* First edition of the certificate course on Real Estate in collaboration with Luthra and Luthra Law Offices in May 2025.
* Successful organization of the First, Second and Third National Seminar on Affordable Housing: Building an Inclusive Society for 21st Century India.
* Publication of the book ‘Affordable Housing – Building an Inclusive Society for 21st Century India’.
* Drafting the ‘Model Rural Transformation Act’ in association with the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India.
