Real Estate Law in a Post Covid-19 World

Partner, Faisal spoke about the character of justice dispensation, arguing that it is essential and cannot be shut off during times of exigency, while focusing on the role of courts in the times of a pandemic. This was coupled with a flavor of the kinds of Constitutional & legal questions that may arise during a pandemic and shortly thereafter.

He also traced the history of how courts have reacted to pandemics through the ages. He presented his views in favour of the ‘Open Court System’ and the need that justice be accessible to litigants and the general public even during virtual court hearings.

Lastly, he spoke of the need to adopt an inclusive approach on matters of digitization and technology.

The other speaker was, Ashish Jain, Partner, Real Estate Practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas who focused on the topic, “Real Estate Law in a Post Covid-19 World”.
